In 2003 there was a record number of worms and viruses. It caused billions of dollars in damages in the U.S. ATMS, the Internet, and traveling became slower then usual. These viruses and worms caused huge mayhem. It was named the worst year ever for viruses and worms. The month of August was alone the worst month ever for viruses and worms. These viruses and worms caused 36.1 billion dollars in damage. The virus with the name of Sobig-F was called the worm of the year because of its immensly fast spreading rate.
